God's Omnis

Have you ever taken the time to sit back and think about God's abilities? Not only that, but the fact that all of those abilities work out in your favor? [Insert Hunger Games reference here] Proverbs 15:3 says, "The eyes of the Lord are in every place, watching the evil and the good," which means He's omnipresent (everywhere). Psalm 147:5 says, "Great is our Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite," which means that He is omnipotent (all-powerful) and omniscient (all-knowing). He isn't this way for no reason. He is this way for a purpose.
I think the attribute that gets me the most is His omniscience. He doesn't just sit back on His knowledge either. He does something with it (just like how we shouldn't sit back on the knowledge we gain from the Bible and our pastors, but that's a story for another day. ;) )! He knows every option and every outcome of every decision that I face every day. He also knows what's going to happen along the way after a decision is made, and He knows what to do to guide me in the right direction. If I'm stubborn and I pursue something I shouldn't have or shouldn't do and He lets me go after it, He puts obstacles in my path and gives me empty victories that have the potential of pointing me back to Him, back to the path I'm supposed to be on.
But what I want to talk about is unforeseen trouble. Trouble that NEVER happens but randomly does. Troubles without a cause (as in I didn't do anything wrong to bring the trouble on to myself). Because He knows all, God can see the trouble coming from miles away, like how we can see it coming while watching a horror film or a loved one make bad decision after bad decision. The beauty about God is, He always has a solution for that problem. It always is in the right place around the right people in the right time. It's picture perfect, and that's mind-boggling and leaves me in awe.
Trouble in life sucks. It really does. It brings a hiccup to my life, and I'd just rather not deal with it, amen? But how am I going to grow in faith if trouble never comes? Why would I need God if I had no reason to dependent on Someone who is much more than myself? What would I need help for?
God can prove Himself during times in trouble. He can open my human, fallen eyes to His awesomeness. He can help me get to know Him better and relish in His majesty. I can learn and experience more of who He is, and my faith will grow.
I encourage you to think about all the troubles you've experienced in your lifetime, either recently or in the past. Note have you've gotten through it. Was it a simple solution, or did it seem like all the pieces fell into place and you don't know how you got to where you are today? No matter what happened, it was because of the mercy, help, and strength of God that you were victorious. Thank Him today for His help in times of trouble, how He always has a solution and how He sees you through it.
